Whilst these might be out top five proposal locations on the Isle of Skye, this list doesn’t do justice to how many great spots there are. These are just those that have been popular with our previous clients.
The Quiraing
You really have to pick your time of day here, be prepared for an early start or a late one to miss the crowds as this is one of the iconic tourist destinations on Skye. very few people want to propose with a huge crowd watching!
This is an easy to reach spot wit no hiking or climbing involved. The views are breathtaking and it really sums up the beauty of the island. Be warned though, if the cloud is low there is no view at all and if the wind is blowing it can be a bracing experience. Sunrise in the summer is VERY early but any time after 8.30am sees the crowds arrive. The evening can be lovely too, and means you can head straight to dinner.

Sligachan
This is an easy to find spot on the island and is on the way to just about anywhere. The has the Cuillin mountains as a back drop and an old bridge as focal points. Again, this is a busy destination, but if you can always find a quiet spot if you are prepared to walk a few hundred yards. Of you don’t have your own transport this can make an ideal location for those on a tour as all tours stop here. As far as proposal locations on The Isle of Skye go, this is a winner every time.

Eilean Donan Castle
Not strictly on The Isle of Skye this is probably our most requested location for a proposal, and it’s easy to see why. Permission has to be granted by the castle but they offer an exclusive package giving you sole access to the grounds before opening in request for a small fee. This gives you the perfect choice of castle locations without anyone to disturb you.

Loch Coruisk
This is such a special place to propose. It involves a boat trip, seal spotting and we can arrange a picnic for you to enjoy once there. It’s quiet and super romantic and always has a wow factor. It’s our favourite!

Neist Point
After Eilean Donan Castle, probably the next most popular spot for a proposal is Neist Point. Combine it with dinner at The Three Chimneys are you are onto a sure winner. Best in the evening when the crowds thin out and the light is amazing, Neist Point is beautiful. It does come with a weather warning and not for those who aren’t up to climbing a long steep stair case or who aren’t good on long single track roads, but it’s always worth the journey.

Of course there are many ,more places to propose on the Isle of Skye… get in touch and we will share some cracking ideas to make your proposal as magical and memorable as you want it to be.
